“Everything is faster with ADSL”- December 2004

3D animation, created for a CG contest, announced by the telecommunication company BTC in 2004

  In December 2004, as part of their advertising project for the ADSL connection, the Bulgarian Telecommunication Company (BTC) announced a contest  for a 3D animation, named “Everything is faster with ADSL”  Everybody, who has any 3D, or animation skills was allowed, to participate. My idea was very simple, but including a little joke, I thought it was exactly, what I was prepared, to create for the short time frame of 30 days. At this time, I already had experience with the creation of the animations for the Third Eye’s “Blue Room” project and this contest was not a big challenge for me. Finally, after a good competition my animation finished second!

The 3D models of the BMW cars were already created before, so only the Trabant was modeled especially for this animated sequence.

“The Dreams come true”- January 2014

My entry to the International Animation Festival Stuttgart in 2014. It was submitted for competition for Special award “future needs derivation – individual mobility” It is a CGI advertising short video from the future, when everybody will be free, to drive their dream cars, when ever they like. Everyday with newly 3D printed real car in the garage, everyone could create his own vehicle, or print one from the huge database, including all models from the automotive history. Today’s carmakers will manufacture the hardware of the printers and 3D models for printing, instead of real cars.

 

The video is entirely computer generated. No live footage was used. The author George Mileff, made everything for this animation, including the idea, the 3D modeling, the rendering, the sound and the editing. All 3d models of the cars are created by George Mileff. Some of them (Ford C-MAX and the bicycle are created especially for this animation. The music is taken from the movie “The Magnificent Seven” (1960) originally composed by Elmer Bernstein. Total modeling, rendering and editing of the animation were done in approximately 2 months.
